Weather Protocols

All participants undergo a mandatory gear inspection before stepping off the trailhead. Baseplate compasses, waterproof shells, and bivies are verified on site.

Clinics involve sustained off-trail movement carrying loaded packs across rugged terrain. Expect 8 to 12 miles daily with significant elevation gain.

Field sessions run rain, snow, or high wind. We train in actual environmental stress to test gear and decision-making under realistic constraints.
